Casing Relief Valves

The 3/4" Cla-Val Model CRL-18 direct acting, spring loaded, diaphragm type pressure relief valve which can be installed in any position and is designed to open and close within very close pressure limits. The adjustable pressure range is 250-600 PSI and they are used as a fire pump casing/circulation relief valve for high pressure applications.
Note: This valve is not UL/FM listed or approved

100-300 PSI
The 1" Cla-Val Model 55L-60 is an UL Listed direct acting, spring loaded, diaphragm type pressure relief valve which can be installed in any position and is designed to open and close within very close pressure limits.
The adjustable pressure range is available as 100 to 300 PSI and typical installations are use as a fire pump casing/circulation relief valve or they may be installed downstream of a pressure reducing valve.
By removing and relocating the 1" plug in the valve body the new design permits installation in either an angle or straight orientation.
Typically ships in 1-2 days.

The Kunkle Figure 20 relief valve is an all bronze angle pattern liquid pressure relief valve with a pressure tight cap. The cap is removed to expose a drive screw and lock nut which is used to adjust the valve to the desired pressure setting.
(The Kunkle Figure 20 is neither UL Listed or FM approved and it is recommended that a Cla-Val 55L-60 be used for fire pump applications.)

Typical installation would be for use in conjunction with a turbine style jockey pump or where the jockey pump is capable of generating pressures which exceed the working pressure of the fire protection equipment or system.
This valve is recommended only for use as a jockey pump relief valve, not a fire pump casing relief valve.
